Abstract

The huge increase in the usage of mobile devices has led to the need of sophisticated optimization techniques in order to minimize energy wastage. In this thesis we analyse energy consumption of mobile devices during the exchange of data, while walking in a WiFi network area, in order to study the dynamic of the power absorption. This analysis can be used to develop suitable optimizations in case of poor signal. The analisys is obtained as an istance of the Abstract Interpretation framework for semantics-based software verification, and the results are validated by a preliminary experimental evaluation.
